The true beauty of this lovely textured scarf is it looks stunning from both sides! I can’t wait to see what it looks like with the yarns you choose too 🙂 I want to make another one in rainbow colors 🙂 The stitches are made up of little fans and on the one side of the fabric they are much more prominent – almost like small scales – I love this stitch pattern. 🙂
This is just one of the Scarf of the Month Club Free Patterns for the month of September 2016!

We are going to recreate a similar finish to our beginning edge by working on the bottom edge of our starting chain row. With the RS of your scarf facing you, attach your yarn in the base of R1 with 1 sc in the base of the ch where the final sc of R1 was worked. Work 1 fan in the base of each chain where the fans from R1 were worked. Work 1 sc in the base of each chain where the sc stitches were worked, all the way across. Skip all the other chs and sts. [5 sc, 4 fans] Finish off and weave in ends.
