Tools

My favorite crochet tools include:

My Clover Amour Crochet Hooks and Furls Crochet Hooks are my favorite hooks to use and I use one or the other, everyday! I also swear by my Clover Locking Stitch Markers – in the last 3 years I have only had one break – they are definitely worth the price I paid for them.

Yarns

2016 Holiday Gift Guide

It would be very difficult for me to pick just one yarn as my favorite – I love trying new fibers and colors!

My go-to yarns for my everyday projects are purchased from Red Heart Yarns – they have a wide range of colors and weights and they are easy for me to find in Canada and online.

When I want to purchase something a little more lightweight – I find myself shopping online at Deramores. They have a fantastic selection of DK weight yarns and I have never been disappointed with what I have received or the time it took for me to receive it.

Knit Picks is another online store I purchase from frequently – they have some of my favorite color options (I love their color packs!). I also have a deep love of their cotton and linen yarns (in weights lighter than worsted) and Knit Picks remains one of my first choices for these fibers. I drool over the catalog I receive in the mail every few months – there is just so much color!

When I really want to treat myself I pop over to Expression Fiber Arts. Chandi has exactly what I want every time! If you would like to try some extra special yarn, Expression Fiber Arts offers a beautiful selection. I also have a one-time use coupon you can apply toward a purchase made before December 31, 2016 for 15% off.

I personally love learning new skills and techniques – especially with the New Year approaching. I always have New Year’s Resolutions to learn a least one new crochet skill each year!

There are a number of places where you can find online classes for your crocheting friends. My two favorites are Craftsy and Creativebug.
