Title: 150 All-Time Favorite Crochet Blocks
Published By: St. Martin’s Griffin © 2015

I love how this book is presented.
It begins by introducing you to the All-time Favorites Collection. This collection displays each of the 150-designs in a visual guide (table of contents) and each block is in proportion to the others on the page – so you can immediately see the scale of the projects in relation to one another. The blocks are each labelled by name and the corresponding page number where you will find both row-by-row written instructions in American U.S. Crochet Terms and full color-coded charts.
Following the All-time Favorites Collection you will find each of the patterns included in the book. They are each listed by name and include a thumbnail size image of the finished square. The clearly written detailed instructions include suggested color combinations for the stitches in the blocks.
Chapter 3 introduces the five beautiful projects you can make using the crochet squares – complete with joining instructions.
The projects include:
- Floor Cushion
- Vase Cover
- Journal Cover
- Baby Block
- Lap Blanket
At the end of the publication you receive a Crochet Refresher Course, complete with diagrams and written instructions. The instructions included are:
- Holding the Hook and Yarn
- Making a Slip Knot
- Working a Slip Stitch
- Working a Foundation Chain
- Working a Single Crochet
- Working a Half Double Crochet
- Working a Double Crochet
- Working a Treble Crochet
- Long Trebles
- Spike Stitches
- Working Into The Front and Back of The Stitches
- Changing Color
- Working in Rounds
- Working into the Ring
- Making a Magic Ring
- Symbols & Abbreviations
150 All-Time Favorite Crochet Blocks includes a gorgeous collection of traditional and popular crochet blocks. Each square includes the skill level, written and charted instructions and a beautiful color photograph. If you love Crochet Blocks – or are interested in making them – you will love this book. The way the book has been prepared – from start to finish – is beautiful to behold.
I truly enjoyed browsing through this collection.
