With a very simple modification to the Rainbow Friendship Bracelet you can add a pretty connector to the basic friendship bracelet to make it even lovelier!
The connector I chose for my bracelet is “Believe” and I actually picked it up at Michaels on Clearance a while ago. The tutorial is showing you how to create the starting stitches for the bracelet using a second connector I have on hand. It is slightly wider so if I were to make a bracelet specifically for the Hope Connector, I would begin with 3 or even 4 sc stitches instead of the 2 sc stitches I use for the Believe Bracelet.

Believe Friendship Bracelet Pattern
R1: With a slip knot on your hook, insert your hook through the opening of the connector. Yarn over the hook and pull up 1 loop. Yarn over the hook and pull through both loops on the hook to complete the first single crochet stitch. Work one more sc into the opening of the connector, ch 1, turn (2)
R2: work 1 sc in each of the 2 sts, ch 1, turn (2)
R3: work 1 sc in each of the 2 sts, ch 1, turn (2)
R4 – End: repeat R3 until your bracelet measures the length you want (see size options listed above if needed)
Finishing: Work 2 sc stitches around the other end of the connector (make sure you do not twist the bracelet!), finish off and weave in all loose ends.
Bracelet Lengths: Please note these are approximate lengths and the actual wrist size will vary from person to person. If you do not have an exact wrist size for the person you wish to give the bracelet to, the easiest way to make one to fit would be to finish off leaving a tail for tying the bracelet in place. Try it on the wrist and if it is too large then remove the last few rows until it fits and then tie it on!
