This is a gorgeous book!
The knit patterns available in Sock Yarn Shawls are organized by Shawl Size. There are written instructions for the shawls and for those who wish to use charts – charts have been included for some parts of the designs.
The yarns used in the designs in this book are absolutely beautiful!
The first section includes the Small Shawls. These shawls require one skein of sock yarn (450 yards or less) to complete.
The next section includes the patterns for the Midsize Shawls. These shawls can be completed with approximately 2 skeins of sock yarn (450 to 900 yards of yarn).
- Earth and Sky
The last section includes the patterns for the Large Shawls. These shawls require the most yarn. You will need more than 900 yards of yarn to complete these beauties. These Large Shawls also require a little bit more skill to complete so if you are looking for a challenge and have some time on your hands this is the section for you!
When you are checking your gauge it is important to remember the gauges listed in the book are based on washed and blocked swatches.
The final pages of the book are filled with resources, special techniques, knitting abbreviations and other useful information. You can also find an author synopsis at the end of the publication.
My favourite designs in this publication are Daylily, Juniper and Lycopod. Which ones are your favourites?
