Hi Pat, You could try to make this sweater for your dog – in orange and then add a pumpkin embellishment to the sweater back? I have only seen pumpkin costume patterns for dogs that are for sale (either already crocheted, or a pattern you can buy to make that is a sweater and hat combo). I think this sweater would work if you want something simple that you can make and then add triangle shapes for the eyes and a mouth? There is a video tutorial for this too and the sweater pattern is free and comes in many sizes. https://www.yarnspirations.com/en-ca/products/bernat-striped-crochet-dog-coat Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-OV2tyc-9I Hope this helps! I love these pumpkin patterns. I have been looking for a pumpkin costume for my dog. He is a one and a half year old Cockapoo. He loves kids and last year he went out with my son trick or treating and loved it. All the kids petted him and made a fuss over the walking Taco
(dog). PS: I’m sort of a beginner at crocheting, but I try. I hope you can help.
